Please speak to a member of staff and they will be happy to help you. Staff work at the Welcome Desk and also in the office at the back of SOM Library - please do knock on the door if you want to speak to someone. You can also use contact us via chat or email.

Study spaces

There is no need to book – just find an available seat. We are unable to offer University PCs, so you will need to bring your own device to use our online resources and to print. We also offer small collaborative working areas. Please sanitise your work area before and after use.

We do not have group study rooms, but you are welcome to use the ones in the Kings Norton Library. They are available for use 24/7. Book a study room

Printing and scanning

We have an A3 printer, but you will need to bring your own device to print. It is not possible to print from mobile phones or USB sticks. There is another printer in the Computer Studio if this one is in use.

Bloomberg Suite

You can find our Bloomberg Suite at the back of SOM Library, in a separate room on the left hand side.

Bloomberg provides real-time and historical pricing information from the world’s stock exchanges, as well as detailed information, news and financial data on global companies.

This Suite uses the same platform as the world’s leading banks, corporations and government agencies.

You will need to book a terminal in advance before you use the Suite.

Borrowing stock

Please use the self-service kiosk to borrow or return items from the School of Management Library. You will need your University ID card, which is also your Library card. Please do not remove stock from the building if it sets off the security gate alarm, or if the kiosk has a fault.

If it is more convenient for you, you can reserve your item and collect it the remote lockers outside the School of Management Library. Find out how they work.
