About us

School of Management Library

The School of Management Library is on the top floor of the School of Management (Building 111). It is open 24/7 so our staff and students can access our print stock and study at the times that are best for them.

Members of the public and students from other universities should read our information for visitors.

Need help?

We have friendly, knowledgeable Library staff. Please speak to someone at the Welcome Desk who will be happy to help you. We are available Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm. You can also contact us via email or use our 27/7 online chat service.

Study spaces

There is no need to book – just find an available seat, we also offer small collaborative working areas. We do not have group study rooms, but you are welcome to use the ones in the Kings Norton Library. They are available for use 24/7. Book a study room

Printing and scanning

We have an A3 printer in the Library and another printer in the Computer Studio if this one is in use.  It is not possible to print from mobile phones or USB sticks.

Bloomberg Suite

You can find our Bloomberg Suite at the back of SOM Library, in a separate room on the left hand side.

Bloomberg provides real-time and historical pricing information from the world’s stock exchanges, as well as detailed information, news and financial data on global companies.

This Suite uses the same platform as the world’s leading banks, corporations and government agencies.

You will need to book a terminal in advance before you use the Suite.

Borrowing stock

Please use the self-service kiosk to borrow or return items from the School of Management Library. You will need your University ID card, which is also your Library card. Please do not remove stock from the building if it sets off the security gate alarm, or if the kiosk has a fault.

If it is more convenient for you, you can reserve your item and collect it the remote lockers outside the School of Management Library. Find out how they work.
