Getting to know your Library: The Welcome Desk

If you have any questions while you are working in the Library please come to the Welcome Desk and a member of staff will be happy to help you. We are here to help you in person from 9am-6pm, Monday to Friday.

We also have an online chat facility that you can use 24/7 so you don’t need to get stuck over the weekends or if you’re working late at night. It is staffed by reference librarians in other university libraries and you will be automatically connected to them if we aren't working.

We aim to provide a welcoming and inclusive learning environment. If you share that you have a disability, we are happy to make individual adjustments for you, based upon your condition, to help you make the best of our services. Please contact one of our Accessibility Officers to learn more about the existing service adjustments we offer, or to discuss additional requests you may have.

As you visit each information point in order, you will unlock a password. This one unlocks the letter L. Once you have completed the tour, go to the Welcome Desk and give the password to a member of staff for a sweet treat!

The next stop on the tour is to your behind you - the self-service machine.
