The following databases are available for free or extended access during the COVID-19 pandemic, or for evaluation purposes.
**Trial until 31 July 2020**. ASCE is a non-profit organization established in 1852, and produces highly regarded Journals and Conference Proceedings in Civil Engineering. The American Society of Civil Engineers represents more than 150,000 members of the civil engineering profession in 177 countries.

Box of Broadcasts enables the recording of programmes from over 75 free-to-air channels and searching the archive of over 2.2 million broadcasts, including those from BBC1 London / BBC2 / BBC4 / ITV London / Channel 4 / More4 / Channel 5 / BBC Radio 4 / BBC Radio 4 Extra. **DawsonEra is working with publishers to remove limits on concurrent user access to as many eBooks as possible during COVID-19.** Collection of eBooks covering a range of subjects - all full text titles also listed in the Library Catalogue. Non-subscribed titles can be previewed for up to five minutes. Read items online or download them for a limited time.
**Free access to most eBooks immediately, with all eBooks available by end of April. Access expires 31 July 2020.** 75,000 eBooks from De Gruyter and University Press Partners covering the humanities, social sciences, medicine, mathematics, engineering, computer sciences, natural sciences, and law.
**Includes free trial access to Pilot Digimap until the 31 July 2020** Maps and map data of Great Britain. Make maps online or download to use in GIS and CAD software. Provides access to Environment Digimap, Geology Digimap, Historic Digimap, and current Ordnance Survey maps of any location in Great Britain at a series of predefined scales. The "Marine" files are not available.
Create a personal account to use this service: login, click on Ordnance Survey collection, and follow the registration pages as directed. EDINA will email within two working days to confirm your Digimap account is active.
**Free access to most EDP journals until August 2020** Academic journals covering subject such as physics & astronomy, engineering & technology, health sciences & dentistry, life sciences, chemistry, mathematics and computer sciences.
**Free access until 15 Dec 2020**. Popular online law database, traditionally with a US focus but now contains a new UK sub-collection. More than 182 million pages and 281,000 titles of historical and government documents in a fully searchable, image-based format. HeinOnline bridges an important research gap by providing comprehensive coverage from inception of more than 2,800 law-related periodicals.
**Free access until 31 July** - Free access to 451 eBooks covering a range of topics. Kortext is the UK’s leading personal learning platform and supplier of digital textbooks.
