Book a study space

Need a quiet spot to study? Book an individual study space in the Library. Seating has been reduced to allow for social distancing. We are sorry but no University PCs are available for use. Please bring your own device.

You are also unable to browse the print collection on the shelves.

How to book

  • Choose a slot in the morning (9am-12pm) or afternoon (1pm-4pm)
  • You can make no more than one booking per person per day.
  • Book up to 1 week in advance.
  • You must book a space before you arrive at the Library.
  • You will receive email confirmation that your booking has been successful.

Before you visit

To help keep everyone safe, please read our health and safety guidelines before you visit the Kings Norton Library.

On arrival

  • Find your study space and check-in using the code on the seat or via your email booking confirmation.
  • Check out when you leave the library.
  • You must check in within the first 15 minutes of the slot you have booked.
  • Please sit only in your designated seat and do not move furniture.
  • Wipe the desk and work area before and after you use it with products from the nearest sanitise station.

Remote access to PCs

No University PCs are available for use. Please bring your own device. If you need to process data or require access to software and licensed applications available in the University computer labs, please see:
