Changes and closures to libraries on the Cranfield campus: 9-20 September

We will be getting both libraries on the Cranfield campus ready for the start of term over the next couple of weeks. This will affect access to the PCs and building closures as follows:

Kings Norton Library

Tuesday 10th – Contractors will be simulating fire conditions to ensure our equipment meets regulations. This will take an hour (exact time unknown) but is likely to be disruptive.
Monday 9th – Friday 13th – The software on the PCs will be updated by IT staff on all three floors in the following order: Floor 1, Floor 2, PC Hub. PCs will then also be removed to facilitate the deep clean.
Friday 13th – Tuesday 17th – From midday on Friday, the Library will be closed 24/7 for a deep clean.
Wednesday 18th – The library will reopen at 9am and the PCs will be returned.
Friday 20th – An external company will be cleaning all the PCs in situ so you may be disrupted if you are working on one.

School of Management Library

Thursday 12th - Friday 13th – The Library will be closed for a deep clean and will reopen at 1pm on Friday.
Monday 16th – Thursday 19th – The software on the PCs will be updated by IT staff. They will be in the Computer Studio on Monday and Tuesday, and in this library on Wednesday and Thursday. Use of the PCs in these areas may be restricted and you may be asked to move.
Friday 20th – An external company will be cleaning all the PCs in situ so you may be disrupted if you are working on one.

We are sorry for any inconvenience these changes may cause. Library staff will still be available online to help you as usual when our buildings are closed.
