All new students will have a timetabled session with their Information Specialist. We recommend you attend so that we can introduce you to our services and resources, and you can get the best start to your studies.
You can get a quick overview of all the services we offer from our Introduction to Library Services.
If you are an MSc student, most of our teaching will be timetabled as part of your course or advertised via Canvas.
We also run a monthly webinar series to support researchers, covering topics from Open Access and research data management, to making the most of Mendeley and Scopus. Forthcoming sessions are listed on the University’s DATES system. Filter the ‘Course type’ on the right hand side to ‘Library’ only.
Our online Referencing tutorials explain the role and importance of citing bibliographic references, and how you incorporate the work of other authors into your literature review correctly, and without plagiarising.
For students who started at Cranfield before September 2021 - Select correct VLE for your course, then pick the referencing style that your course/supervisor supports (Author-Date or Numbered):
If you started at Cranfield from September 2021 onwards - we have a new module coming shortly that explains the new APA7 Author-Date referencing guide. Please do not use the eLearning links above as they relate to a different style.
