Reopening of Barrington Library

Barrington Library is now open from 9am-4pm every weekday.

As you would expect, our in-library services are a bit different now and we are offering:

•    Click and collect: Reserve print books and journals from our collection then make an appointment to pick them up.
•    Study space: Book a private study space in advance. (Seating capacity has been reduced to meet social distancing guidelines.)

We will be announcing further changes on this page as we are able to provide more in-house services, so please do check it regularly.

Visiting the library

Please only visit the library if you have timetabled lectures (or permission to be on site) and either have a booking for one of these services or are returning an item. We are unable to offer any in-person support at the moment. Please read our advice before you visit.

Online help and support

We will continue to provide online services and support via our Library website.

Library staff are available online to help you every weekday, 9am-5pm. You are welcome to contact us by email and if you need more in-depth advice, please email your Information Specialist and they will arrange a video call with you.

The majority of our resources are available online 24/7. Some publishers are also providing free or extended access to their resources during COVID-19.

You can also Suggest a purchase (for online material only at this time).

Returning existing loan items

If you are ready to return items you have on loan from us and live nearby you can bring them back to the library during our opening hours. If you live further away and would like to return them by post please contact
