Accessibility statement for Cranfield University Library Service website

This statement applies to the Kings Norton Library, Management Information and Resource Centre (MIRC), and Barrington Library sites.

Cranfield University Library Service is committed to continually improving the services and facilities we offer for everyone. We aim to provide a consistent user experience for all our customers, including digital accessibility. This ensures that people with disabilities are not disadvantaged in accessing our resources or information about our services.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Cranfield University Library Service is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

We are aware that our audiovisual content is not fully accessible at this time, as our videos do not have transcripts or captioning. We aim to provide these by April 2020. Additionally, some Microsoft Word and PDF documents may not be fully tagged for accessibility, and we aim to have replaced them with accessible versions by December 2019.
